What are your 2 words for 2026?
Published 29 days ago • 2 min read

Dear Reader,
I think I want ease and creativity to be my compass next year. Progress is better than perfection, right? I believe in the sh*tty first draft philosophy, so instead of not revealing my next year's intention until it's fully baked, I like revealing my working draft. How do you want to show up in 2026? It's your life and your journey and you get to choose.

🎤 Unmasking on the Moth Stage
I stepped onto The Moth StorySLAM stage to share a story about a yoga retreat in Spain, a new friend, and an unexpected lesson in connection (yes—mouth tape makes an appearance).
What I didn’t expect was how clearly it revealed this truth: real team building doesn’t come from a perfect agenda. It comes from unmasking, being human, and letting trust form naturally.

đź“– 2026: The Year of Leadership Storytelling
For years, I was told I talked too much—and told too many stories. What I eventually learned is this: stories aren’t the problem. Unfocused stories are.
In this article, I share why 2026 is the year leaders must reclaim storytelling as a strategic skill—and how the REST Method helps turn everyday experiences into stories that create connection and inspire action.

Dear Reader, I had such a wonderful conversation recently on Chamber Bizz Buzz with Julie Pastrick, President & CEO of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce. We talked about what it really means to lead with purpose—how to create change, support growth, and help people stretch into their potential. If you’ve ever wondered how intentional leadership can shape not just teams, but whole communities, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Listen to the full episode here. ~ Julie 🗓️ 5 Events for you!...
Hi there, Ideas don’t move because they’re loud. They move because people trust the voice behind them. This year’s Women’s Leadership Summit is built around one powerful truth: Collective Influence: How Ideas Actually Move Not through titles. Not through force. But through connection, credibility, and shared belief. Women’s Summit 2026 is designed for leaders who know that influence today isn’t about having the most answers—it’s about knowing how to shape thinking, align people, and move ideas...
Dear Reader, I was recently featured in Voyage Phoenix, where I had the chance to reflect on some of the life lessons, challenges, and defining moments that have shaped my work and my approach to leadership. This conversation goes deeper than my usual posts — into purpose, impact, legacy, and what it truly means to keep growing. If you’re curious about the stories behind the work I do, or you’re simply looking for a thoughtful read with your morning coffee, I’d love for you to take a look. 👉...
